Escape Routes

All escape routes and corridors should be adequately lit in the event of a power outage. All fire fighting equipment including break glass call points should also be well lit.

Exits

It is very important to guide the public along an escape route to a final exit with no confusion. Exit signs should have the appropriate directional arrows.

External

All final exits to the external of the building should beadequately lit. Once outside the building it is important the public can navigate their way to a safe place.
