Reconnections

If a building has been left unoccupied for a period of time the owner may not want to continue paying unnecessary ESB bills. This is especially the case in rental properties. Any property that has been disconnected from the ESB grid for more than 6 months will require a safe electric cert for reconnection. Get in touch to discuss getting your building re energised.

How Do I Get Reconnected?

Testing

The first step to get your premises reconnected to the ESB is testing. This work can only be carried out by a safe electric registered electrical contractor.

Certification

Once all post connection tests have been carried out and all remedial work brought up to safety standards a certificate can be issued to the ESB.

Reconnection

Once the ESB have received the certificate from the electrical contractor your job will be logged for reconnection. This can usually take up to 10 days after the cert is received.
